AndroidTapp.com Android App Review:

Pros & Cons:

Pros
  • A quick way to scan and connect to available WiFi access points!
  • This app really does one thing and does it well!
  • Several ways to search and sort!
Cons
  • Unless you’re traveling a lot, you probably don’t need this app.
  • Unsure if it really provides boost in WiFi network speed.

Features:

WiFi Booster Easy Connect gives you an easy way to see and connect to WiFi access points. You can view your favorite networks, or see a list of the best networks in the area. It also has a network speed booster which, to be honest, I didn’t really see a difference when using. But your mileage on that specific feature might be different from mine, as it does seem to make a difference for some users. This is a case where you’ll have to test it on your specific device, on your specific network, before you’ll know if it will boost your speed any, since everyone will probably get slightly different results.
The app does what it is advertised to do, and it does it well. My only issue is whether or not you really need it. I could see if it differentiated at bit like Smart WiFi, which graphically shows you access points. I didn’t find that it gave me any different of a list than what I get in the Settings menu on my device for WiFi in the area. And my device is set up to automatically connect to my favorite networks when they’re in range, so I didn’t need the app’s ability to show me favorite networks. If you travel a lot, and are in constant need of finding new WiFi access, then the app’s ability to tell you which ones are the best in your area is useful, but for most people, I don’t know that it’s really necessary.

Usefulness:

This is the category I think the app falls down a bit. For some users, on specific networks on specific devices, it will probably give you a boost in your network speed, and for those users, it is extremely useful. However, the rest of the features didn’t bring anything that the default Android WiFi menu doesn’t already have.

Ease of Use:

The app was very easy to use. You open it, and it will pull the list of available access points. The various options, such as seeing favorite networks, are well marked and easy to use.

Frequently Used:

Again, if you’re traveling a lot and are constantly looking for new and public networks, then this app will probably be something you’ll use regularly. However, if you’re not in that category of people, I don’t think you’ll touch it very often.

Interface:

As I mentioned, the app is fairly simple and easy to navigate. It doesn’t have a lot of extra stuff to clutter it up – it has one function and it focuses on that.

Should you Download WiFi Booster Easy Connect? The app itself it actually well-made, and given your specific device and network, it may or may not boost your speed. The rest of the features work, they just don’t feel necessary since you have all that functionality in the basic Android settings. I don’t think it’s a bad app, just not something everyone will get use out of. If you have network issues, or you travel frequently, however, it’s one that you might want to check out.
